We remember walking through the door and honestly not being able to stop smiling. In that moment, we both looked at each other and just knew this could be our future.

As parents ourselves, we know how important it is to have somewhere you truly trust. Somewhere your child can play happily while you sit down with a coffee and breathe for a minute. That kind of space is special, and not something you take for granted.

When the opportunity came up, it just felt right. Before this, we both worked in jobs that were often stressful and demanding, long hours, night shifts, time away from home, and even bringing work home with us. It made us really reflect on what matters most. We wanted to create a life where we could be more present, spend more time together as a family, and give Isabella the kind of childhood where we’re around as much as possible.

Little Acorns already means so much to so many families, and we didn’t want that to be lost. We want to protect what people love, gently refresh the space, and help it grow into something even more special for babies, toddlers and parents alike.

Isabella has very much approved of the decision so far. She’s clearly loved testing out all the toys in the play cafe, giving us a cheers, pretending she is boss and from the photos you might have seen, she’s officially rated it 6 milky stars out of 5 ⭐
